In addition, Four Star Pizza will open another 27 stores which will create 540 more jobs across the Ireland.
The Irish based pizza chain is operation since 1986. It operates 42 chains across the Ireland along with 14 chains in Northern Ireland. The company is now planning to expand the network of its outlets across the republic. Hence, CEO Colin Hughes said they intend on bringing the total number of stores to more than 100 by 2025. Furthermore, the company has also laid out its strategy regarding the expansion plan. They are setting a target to open four new this this year. Subsequently, they will launch 16 new stores in 2023 and another 25 more in 2024.
“From the outset, my priority was to carry out a full review of the business and speak to each and every one of our valued franchisees, who have been amazing in helping me understand the many facets and challenges of running one of the country’s biggest franchisee network. Add the current situation in Ukraine and a cost-of-living crisis into the mix and, as far as the wider business environment goes, we’re currently in the midst of a perfect storm but the frontline feedback from our franchisee base remains positive with sales volumes and average transaction spends holding up well.” Hughes said in his statement.
Furthermore, the expansion of Four Star’s network will bring plenty of employment opportunities for Irish residents. The company has forecasted an average of 20 workers per store. Therefore, a total of 900 new jobs will be created during the next few years. Aside from expansion plans the company will also focus on other areas for improvement. These include franchisee training, quality control, menu improvements, new product development and innovation, brand refreshment, store refurbishments, delivery options etc.
