Amazon has announced that they have officially started shipping goods to customers from their new fulfillment center in Dublin. In addition, the ecommerce giant claimed that they have added 500 jobs at this one of its kind fulfillment center in Ireland.

Delivery to Ireland and Europe

Amazon has developed 630,000 square foot fulfillment center at Baldonnell Business Park. Furthermore, the center contains millions of items which they will pick, pack and deliver to the customers. Significantly, the fulfillment center is responsible to manage deliveries to customer across the Ireland and rest of the Europe. Moreover, Amazon stated that their latest fulfillment center will provide fast deliveries to customers seven days a week. In addition, they will also arrange one-day delivery for thousands of items. Ireland is a lucrative market for Amazon and they already have two Amazon delivery stations in Rathcoole and Ballycoolin.

Wages and other benefits

The new fulfillment center has created multiple jobs in Dublin. Therefore, Amazon is pushing hard and are looking to fill more than 500 employees at the new fulfillment center. Moreover, Amazon is expecting that their total workforce in Ireland will exceed 5,000 workers by the end of this year. Amazon is seeking to hire people for roles in engineering, HR, IT, health & safety, finance and operations management. Furthermore, they are offering a minimum wage of €13.50 per hour to all full-time, part-time, temporary, and seasonal employees. In addition, the company is offering a comprehensive benefits package including include private medical insurance, life assurance, income protection, employee discount and company pension program.
