Aldi, the fifth largest superstore in UK is planning to hire 348 new people in Yorkshire this year. Moreover, they have come up with a plan to open 100 new stores across the United Kingdom. This will be done through an investment of £1.3 billion and it will create up to 2,000 new jobs.

Nationwide recruitment drive

The German supermarket chain is looking to hire people of all levels of experience in their stores across the country. The will offer salaries up to £63,245 per annum. This includes positions as store assistants and apprentices, as well as more senior roles such as deputy manager. Stores in Yorkshire where Aldi is looking to hire include Harrogate, Scarborough and Matltby. The hiring is part of Aldi’s nationwide recruitment drive through which they are looking to hire more than 2,000 workers nationwide. Moreover, this will be in addition to the 7,000 permanent roles which they filled during the past two years.

Aldi is offering competitive salary

Aldi is the fifth largest chain of UK stores. Currently, they are operating 900 stores across the country. A breakdown shows 247 roles are available across stores in Sunderland, Wallsend, and North Shields, while there are 359 vacancies in Durham and 149 in Northumberland. The highest salaried jobs at £63,245 are in the Durham’s stores. Whereas, they are paying up to £41,235in stores across Tyneside and Wearside. In Northumberland, Aldi is recruiting for jobs paying £11.10 per hour. In addition, the company is also offering paid breaks to its employees.
