Macy’s to hire 41,000 seasonal workers

Macy’s Inc. has announced to hire more than 41,000 full-time and part-time workers during the holiday season period. Moreover, the New York based retail company will hire for these positions at their stores in Bloomingdale’s and Bluemercury stores, supply chain locations and call centers.

Convenient application process

Macy’s is an American chain of high-end department stores and it has announced its recruitment plans for this year holiday season. Moreover, retail store chain claimed that the season hiring plans for 2022 are consistent with previous years. However, it is slightly down from last year when the Macy’s was looking to fill 48,000 full-time and part-time roles. Importantly, the retailer has devised a convenient application process for the candidates. It just takes five minutes for the applicant to submit the application. Whereas, the successful candidates get the job offer within 48 hours in majority cases.

Work life balance and other benefits

Macy’s offers work life balance and flexible work opportunities to its employees. In addition, the retail giant encourages its workers to pursue roles in different career paths. Furthermore, Macy’s is offering a wide array of positions ranging from entry level to leadership roles. Significantly, more than 10,300 seasonal workers earned permanent positions after the holiday season in 2021. Permanent employees earn an average base pay above $17 an hour.

Beside Macy’s numerous national retailers have also announced their recruitment plans for the holiday season. Target announced to hire 100,000 workers for the holiday season. Similarly, Kohl’s is also looking to hire 90,000 seasonal workers.
