Boingo Wireless Inc. has decided to relocate its headquarters to North Texas with an investment of $1.48 million. Moreover, the opening of this new office will create approximately 250 jobs in Texas.

Relocating headquarter to Texas

Boingo Wireless Inc. is a leading cellular provider. The company designs, builds and manages wireless networks at major venues around the world. The LA based company is now preparing to move its headquarters to Texas. Moreover, the company announced to open an office which will occupy 15,000 square feet of office space at The Star in Frisco. Furthermore, the Frisco office is likely to become operational in summer of next year. The company’s CEO Mike Finely stated that the company plans to move to a location where employees want to live. However, Boingo will maintain regional hubs in Los Angeles, New York, Chicago and Las Vegas. “It was really very easy to select Frisco because it met all the criteria, and we work with a lot of companies there.” Finley added to his statement.

$1.48 million investment

According to Texas Governor, Greg Abbott, Boingo Wirless in planning to invest $1.48 million to move its corporate headquarter. Significantly, the state will provide a grant of $514,700 to support the relocation. “With more corporate relocation and expansion projects than any other state, Texas remains the premier destination for companies looking to unleash their full economic potential. Boingo’s new office location in Frisco will bring more good-paying jobs and brighter opportunities for hardworking Texans in our state’s growing tech industry. I look forward to an ongoing partnership with the company as they prepare to relocate the company’s headquarters to North Texas.” Gov. Abbott said in a statement.

Job opportunities at new office

The relocation and establishment of Texas corporate office is likely to generate 250 new jobs. The company has a total workforce of 370 employees. In addition, they have 30 employees working in Texas. However, the cellular company is now looking to hire people with expertise in network, cloud, edge computing, Internet of Things, data analytics, business development and account management.
