Confluent Health will invest $10 million in Louisville

Confluent Health LLC is planning to relocate and expand its headquarters in Louisville. Subsequently, the project will roughly bring an investment of $10 million. Moreover, it will create 350 full-time jobs for Kentucky residents.

Expansion plan

The company’s executive management expects the project to double the office space to 36,000 square feet. Currently, the office space stands at 18,000 square feet. Confluent Health came up with the plan to expand their headquarters to respond the significantly increased demand resulting from numerous acquisitions and organic growth. Project work will begin in coming weeks and they expect to complete it by summer of this year. However, the location for this project is not finalized as of yet.

Creation of 350 new jobs

The project will create 350 new job opportunities in Kentucky. Subsequently, the company will offer jobs in the areas of marketing, information technology and human resources. Moreover, there will be opportunities in administrative and executive roles. Currently, Confluent is employing 123 people in Louisville. “Confluent Health is a Kentucky-born and -bred health care company, proud to reaffirm our national headquarters in Louisville,” Confluent Health President and CEO Dr. Larry Benz said in a statement.

Agreement with Kentucky Business Investment program

Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority (KEDFA) preliminarily approved a 10-year incentive agreement with the company under the Kentucky Business Investment program. This is a performance based agreement and can provide up to $3.5 million tax incentive upon achieving the required objectives. Moreover, the company may be eligible to keep a portion of the new tax revenue it generates if they meet the targets. In addition, Confluent Health can receive resources from Kentucky’s workforce service providers. These include no-cost recruitment and job placement services, reduced-cost customized training and job training incentives.

Confluent Health is a group of companies which specializes in physical and occupational therapy. Confluent Health operates five divisions, including 42 physical and occupational therapy company partners. Importantly, they are covering 512 outpatient physical therapy locations across 29 states. It also operates an occupational health company with over 1,500 workplace safety and injury prevention sites in 48 states.
