Expleo Ireland to create 200 new jobs

Expleo has announced that they are planning to open their first regional hub in Mahon in Co Cork. Moreover, the opening of this regional hub will lead to creation of 200 new jobs.

€10 million investment

Expleo is a global technology, engineering and consulting service firm. They have decided to expand their business and will invest €10 million in the expansion of its workforce. Moreover, it is also planning to open a network of hubs across the country to attract highly skilled workers. Furthermore, the expansion will enable them to expand their workforce to 1,000 over the next two years. Currently, Expleo have an active workforce of 800 employees in UK.

IT based roles on offering

The majority of these new job roles will pertain to information technology. These disciplines include software development, software engineering and technical engineering. Furthermore, Expleo’s new hires can expect to work on transformative technologies and projects. For example, hyperautomation, robotic process automation and agile transformation in industries such as life sciences, financial services and aviation.

Establishing a network of regional hubs

Moreover, Expleo is also establishing a network of regional hubs that will be complementary to its Irish headquarters in Dublin and its base in Belfast. Last year, the company announced the creation of 100 jobs in Belfast. “Following extensive research of available resources and skills throughout the country, it was evident that regional hubs would provide Expleo with the additional talent and impetus we need to deliver on our ambitious growth plans. “Our new hires in Cork will have access to all the benefits our current employee base enjoys including competitive salaries, flexible working, world-class training programs and a highly supportive working culture.” Phil Codd, managing director for Expleo Ireland said in his statement.

Expleo is operating in Ireland for nearly 20 years and already has offices in Dublin and Belfast. Previously, they were known as SQS. However, they rebranded themselves following an acquisition by Assystem Technologies in 2018. Currently, Expleo employs over 15,000 people operating in 30 countries across the globe.
