Kohler Co, a leader in kitchen and bath products is planning to open a manufacturing facility in Casa Grande. Subsequently, the new facility will bring 400 new full-time jobs in the area.
Kitchen and bath products giant is planning to build a manufacturing facility and a warehouse. In addition, an office space will also be the part of the project. Overall, the facility will spread on 216 acres in Casa Grande, Arizona. This will be a multi-million capital investment comprising of 1 million square feet. According to a news release from Arizona Commerce Authority, the new setup will be operational by August 2023. “Kohler is an iconic American brand and we are proud to see the company expand its manufacturing operations to Casa Grande. The company’s investment brings yet another industry-leading business to Pinal County, adding hundreds of good jobs to the region’s booming manufacturing landscape.” Gov. Doug Ducey said in his statement welcoming the investment from Kohler.
Meeting the customer demands
High-growth lines of Vikrell bath and shower fixtures are very popular among large single-family developers. Hence, Kohler will produce these products to support the increasing demand of these products. The Casa Grande site will be Kohler’s second Vikrell production facility. Hence, it will join Kohler’s existing eastern facility in Huntsville, Alabama. The new site will also serve as a distribution center. This will better serve Kohler’s customer base in the Western U.S. Moreover, an operational new facility will reduce lead times and will improve delivery efficiency.
Plenty of job opportunities
Kohler’s new manufacturing operations will expand the local economy. Therefore, it will increase tax revenues and will bring hundreds of new full-time job opportunities in Casa Grande region. In addition, it will add job opportunities during the construction phase as well. Moreover, The Greater Phoenix Economic Council also appreciated the Kohler’s plans. “We are excited to welcome Kohler’s manufacturing facility to Casa Grande.” Chris Camacho, president and CEO of the Council expressed his views in a statement.
