The defense consulting company Technomics Inc is planning to grow its presence in Virginia with an investment of $1.7 million. Moreover, the expansion if likely to create 150 new jobs in Arlington, Virginia.

10,000 square feet expanded facility

Technomics is an employee-owned consulting firm with over 30 years of experience. Moreover, the company specializes in cost engineering and data analytics. Gov. Glenn Youngkin announced the expansion planned by the company. Furthermore, he added that he company is leasing an additional 10,000 square feet of space at 1225 S. Clark Street to increase capacity. In addition, Governor Youngkin announced that the state competed with Maryland, DC, and California for the project.

“Virginia boasts the largest concentration of tech talent in the U.S., and Technomics is a prime example of how an educated and skilled workforce pipeline can contribute to the success of a business. In addition to talent, Arlington County provides strategic proximity to the company’s primary customers. We congratulate Technomics on this expansion and look forward to its continued growth trajectory in the Commonwealth.” Governor Glenn Youngkin added to his statement.

$105,000 in economic incentives for technomics

Technomics is currently employing about 225 people in Arlington. The Virginia Economic Development Partnership worked with Arlington County to secure the project for Virginia. Moreover, The Virginia Economic Development Partnership will assist in creation of 150 new jobs through the Virginia Jobs Investment Program (VJIP). Virginia Jobs Investment Program provides consultative services and funding to companies creating new jobs in order to support employee recruitment and training activities Furthermore, the company stands to receive up to $105,000 in economic incentives from Virginia for creating these 150 jobs in Arlington. These pay-as-you-go incentives help companies expand or retain its workers.
