Amazon has officially announced the hiring and recruitment process for its new fulfillment center in Turlock. Moreover, the company is looking to fill more than 1,000 full-time and part-time positions at the new fulfillment center. In addition, the online retail giant has also launched several hiring events to attract candidates for various job listings.

Facility is all set to open

Amazon has leased the building for its fulfillment center in in Turlock which is under construction. The new facility will be located on Fulkerth Road behind Dust Bowl Brewing Co. just off Highway 99. Furthermore, the fulfillment center will span 1,080,308 square feet. According to Amazon they new fulfillment center will open in 2022. Moreover, Amazon will use this fulfillment center to store, pack and ship the products. “The many hundreds of jobs that Amazon will create in Turlock are important to our city and region. We appreciate Amazon’s truly significant investment in the Turlock Regional Industrial Park and their utilization of our streamlined approval process to create both year-around and seasonal jobs which provide both kinds of job opportunities in our community.” Turlock’s acting City Manager Sarah Eddy said in her statement.

Amazon is organizing a hiring event

Furthermore, the retail giant will organize an in-person hiring event on Tuesday and Wednesday at their Recruiting Office on 3200 Fulkerth Rd. Significantly, many people have shown interest in attending the event and have booked the spots. However, Amazon has directed many job seekers to schedule appointments. This shows that the jobs at the new facility are high in demand. In addition, those who are missed the event, they can book their appointments at  www.amazon.com/flexiblejobs. In addition, the company will publish the jobs on various portals including LinkedIn, Indeed and Glassdoor. Hence, applicants may apply for information technology (IT), human resources and financial analyst positions on these websites.

Amazon performed the groundbreaking of this fulfillment center last year. The city officials termed this investment as a boost to the local economy. Moreover, the construction is now in final stages and will operate on a 24-hour basis once the operations will begin later this month.
